Chief of Police | Perry Police Department

The department currently consists of 22 Sworn Law Enforcement Officers, 2 civilian staff and 4 dual purpose police K9s. The police department is responsible for all law enforcement function to include code enforcement within the city limits of Perry. The City of Perry covers an area of approximately 9.3 square miles in size. Each K9 team consists of a Dog and their respective Handler. Each handler and their K-9 partner were exposed to a minimum of 500 hours of intensive training, and some instances, as many as 800 hours to attain certification.

All members of the Perry Police and support staff are committed to the safety of our residents, visitors, and businesses. Our sworn oath is to protect life, individual rights and the property of all members and visitors in our community.  To accomplish this Mission we need to develop strong relationships with all members of the diverse community that we serve. We ask for your assistance in providing us the information we need to positively impact our community by reducing crime, assisting others in need and allowing everyone to feel safe in their homes and neighborhoods.

The men and women of the Perry Police Department are some of the best and most loyal public servants, often endangering themselves for your protection. We promise to serve you by observing the core values of Integrity, Respect, and Courage, while following our vision to partner with our community, providing a professional police agency which will allow us to make the City of Perry an excellent place to live, a great place to raise a family, and that is safe for all.

We encourage you to call 9-1-1 to report crimes, when someone needs help, to report emergencies, and when you see something suspicious.
